Under the scheme, youth will be selected through open advertisement and transparent shortlisting mechanism. This training will be provided in such trades as Electrician, Welder, Mechanist, and Filter. All the youth who are selected will be provided the benefit of the scheme. In this scheme, 3 years training will be done.
This scheme was started on 17 September 2021. This program has been launched under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Through 75 railway training across the country, about 5 thousand youth will be provided training for a period of 3 years. Under the scheme, 100 hours of training has been given in the first batch. All the trainees who were successful in this training were given tool kits and certificates in the ceremony held on 13 October 2021.
