Last year, 5G service has also been rolled out in some countries, due to which smartphone manufacturers companies have also launched 5G variants of their premium models in these countries.


 In the past year, we have experienced technologies like punch-hole display, in-display fingerprint sensor, mechanized selfie camera, multi camera, pop-up camera, 90Hz refresh rate display in many smartphones.  At the same time, 5G service has also been rolled out in some countries last year, due to which the smartphone manufacturers companies have also launched 5G variants of their premium models in these countries.  Apart from this, foldable smartphones and smartphones with no headphone jack have also been in trend.  This year, smartphone maker companies can launch their smartphones with even better technology.  Come, know which smartphone technology will be the focus in 2020?

 5G 

 Just like last year, 5G technology will remain in the minds of smartphone makers this year.  This year, this technology can be launched in many more countries.  Keeping this in mind, many smartphone maker companies are preparing to launch 5G smartphones.  Also, this year we may get to see affordable 5G smartphone.  Apart from chipset manufacturer Qualcomm and MediaTek, Huawei and Samsung have also introduced their Next Generation 5G processor in the past.  These processors can be seen in many devices launched this year.


 To reduce the addiction of smartphone and technology, last year, the company which made Android operating system, launched its digital wellbeing apps, due to which users will get rid of smartphone addiction.  This year too, we can see many such features in smartphones, which will relieve us from its addiction.  Such features will not only rid us of its addiction, but will also inspire us to return to social life.


 Dual screen and foldable screen

 Like last year, this year, more and more foldable and dual screen smartphones can be seen.  In the Mobile World Congress to be held in February, we can see smartphones with dual screens and foldable screens.  Last year, Samsung, Huawei, LG, Motorola introduced smartphones with dual screen or foldable screens.  This year, many more companies can introduce smartphones with new technology.


 Artificial Intelligence and 3D Mapping

 We can see many features like AR, AI 3D mapping in the smartphone launched this year.  In many social media platforms, we can see such technology and features.  We have also seen augmented reality in the Google Pixel 4 series launched last year, due to which this smartphone series has not been launched in many countries including India.  The spectrum band that was required to support these features is not available in many countries.  However, this technology can be adopted this year.
