4G – is an abridged form of Fourth Generation, the fourth generation of mobile phone wireless service.  The first was the 2G and 3G generations.  The current network facility will be further improved with the help of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) available in 3G Technique.

4G means the fourth generation, ie the fourth generation is a fully IP based service.  In this, Voice (Voice), Text (Data) and Multimedia can be sent and received at the same speed.

What is the difference between 3G and 4G?

3G mobile had all the features that were required for mobile technology till some time back, but its speed was quite slow.  Four G has a speed of around 100 Mbps, which is 50 times more than 3G.  In 3G networks, data can be sent from 37 Kbps to 2 Mbps only.

Along with these benefits, the cost of this technology is also much lower than that of 3G.  4G has a data rate higher than 3G, which means that data can be transferred at a faster speed.  While 3G technology works on wide area networks, 4G works on local area networks (LANs) and base station wide area networks.

What are the benefits of 4G?

High quality audio and video facility will be available to the users.  OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) will enable people to achieve better video quality.  This will increase the speed, and also the security.
