1. E-KYC mandatory

  • All ration card holders will have to get their e-KYC done.
  • The last date for e-KYC is 31 March 2025.
  • Those who do not get e-KYC done, their ration card may be cancelled.

2. Change in income limit

  • The annual income limit in urban areas will be up to Rs 3 lakh.
  • In rural areas the annual income limit will be up to Rs 2 lakh.

3. Asset Limit

  • Those having flats or houses larger than 100 square meters in urban areas will be ineligible.
  • Those having plots larger than 100 square meters in rural areas will be ineligible.

4. Vehicle Ownership

  • Those owning four wheelers in urban areas will be ineligible.
  • Those owning tractors or four-wheelers in rural areas will be ineligible.
