Financial assistance of Rs 1,20,000 per unit is provided to build houses in plains, while in hilly and inaccessible areas, Rs 1,30,000 per unit is provided. 60 percent of the scheme is provided by the Central Government, while the remaining 40 percent amount is borne by the state governments.
