Earlier ration card holders were given 3 kg of rice and 2 kg wheat, but now they will get 2.5 kg of rice and 2 kg of wheat. Antodaya families first used to get 21 kg of rice and 14 kg of wheat, instead they will now be given 18 kg of rice and 17 kg of wheat.
Eligibility required to take advantage of the scheme
- To take advantage of the scheme, it is mandatory for the applicant to have a ration card holder.
- The annual income of the applicant should be less than Rs 1 lakh.
- The e-KYC of the ration card should be completed.
- BPL or Antyodaya Ann Yojana (AAY) should be the card holder.
- There should be no government job in the family.
- People with a flat or four wheeler larger than 100 square meters in urban areas will not be able to take advantage of the scheme.
- There should not be a plot or tractor larger than 100 square meters in rural areas.
