1. UPI Limit Increase

Now feature phone users can do transactions up to ₹ 10,000 through UPI. This limit will be up to ₹ 1 lakh in medical emergency.

Benefits:

  • Digital payment will be promoted.
  • People will be able to do transactions easily in rural areas.

2. Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

The government has announced a loan of up to ₹ 2.5 lakh to farmers without guarantee. The interest rate will be only 4% annually.

How to apply:

  • Visit the nearest bank or agricultural service center.
  • Show Aadhaar card and land papers.

3. Pension withdrawal facility

Now pensioners can remove their pension from any bank.

Main Benefits:

  • Additional verification is not required if the bank changes.
  • It is easy to remove pension while traveling in other cities.

4. Mobile Recharge Plan

Under the new TRAI rules, separate recharge packs will now be available only for calling.

Main point:

  • Basic plan of ₹ 50 per month in rural areas.
  • Internet and calling plans will be different.

5. Foreign University Campus in India

Now International University like Harvard and Oxford will be able to open their campus in India.

Benefit:

  • Students will get a chance to study from international faculty.
  • The fees will be 50% less than abroad.

6. Agniveer Reservation

10% seats will be reserved for former firefighters in security forces like CISF and BSF.

Ability:

  • Candidates who have completed 4 years of service will be eligible in Agnivir scheme.

7. ITR Deadline Extension

The last date for filing income tax returns (ITR) has now been extended till January 15.

Tax exemption:

  • Those with annual income of up to ₹ 12 lakh will not have to pay any tax.

8. Ayushman Bharat Scheme Extension

Gig workers like Swiggy, Jomato will now get free treatment of up to ₹ 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

How to make Ayushman Card:

  • Register on PMJAY website.
  • Link the Aadhaar card and mobile number.

9. Cancer Care Center

The government has announced that Cancer Day Care Units will be set up in all districts.

Services:

  • Patients will get free chemotherapy and radiation facilities.

10. Tax-free income limit

Now there will be no tax on annual income of up to ₹ 12 lakh.

Example:

If your income is ₹ 10 lakh, then you will not have to pay any tax.
