Submission of physical form and documents after online data entry
After applying in this way, the applicant has to send the successfully generated application form, 2 recent color photographs, duly signed along with the prescribed supporting documents to the NSDL e-Gov address through Speed Post.
Aadhaar based e-KYC
In Aadhaar based e-KYC option, Aadhaar details will be considered as PAN application details (name, date of birth, gender, residential address, e-mail id, mobile number and photo) and Aadhaar will be considered as supporting document and PAN will be allotted. will be sent to the department. Not all of this information can be edited. The photograph used in Aadhar card will be used in PAN card and there will be no need to upload supporting documents, photograph and signature. PAN card will be sent to the address mentioned in Aadhaar. There is no need to send the PAN application form and supporting document to NSDL e-gov by post.
Scanned based – Aadhaar based e-Sign
In the e-Sign option, an applicant is required to upload the scanned images (as per the prescribed parameters) of photograph, signature and supporting documents while applying. Aadhaar is considered a supporting document. No need to send PAN application form and supporting documents to NSDL e-gov. However, as per Rule 114(4) of the Income Tax Rules, 1962, the original document (in original) signed by a Member of Parliament or a Member of Legislative Assembly or a Municipal Councilor or a Gazetted Officer, the original certificate by the Bank. Head of Branch, Employer Certificate in original) is required to be forwarded in physical form to NSDL e-Gov address.
