CIRCUS 2022 is an upcoming Indian-language comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series and Rohit Shetty Picture.
Ranveer Singh played a double role for the first time in his career, being the official adaptation of the 1982 film Grape, which was based on William Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors; Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde play female lead roles.
The film co-stars Varun Sharma, Siddharth Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirji, Vijay Patkar, Sulabha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeet, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murali Sharma. It will be released theatrically on 31 December 2021 worldwide.

In 2008, Rohit Shetty completed the scripting for his Dream Project, a 1982 adaptation of the cult classic comedy Grape, and for the first time a dual leading role in Shah Rukh Khan’s mind.
Shetty gave him a statement, after which Khan agreed to do the film, but later Shetty narrated to him the script for Chennai Express (2013), which became his first collaboration, he walked out of the grape remake and instead Said yes to the Chennai Express, which was an original massively entertaining action comedy film and not a remake of a film.
In 2020, Shetty decided to revive the film and Ranveer Singh, who previously starred in the 2018 film Simba, and in his first cameo release in 2022, Shah Rukh Khan replaced Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma among other actors. Did a cameo with The title was decided to be Circus.
Circus principal photography began on 17 November 2020 in Mumbai.
