Bell Bottom is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ranjit M Tiwari. The film is written by Asim Arora and Parvez Shaikh, produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Nikkhil Advani under their respective banners Pooja Entertainment and Emme Entertainment. It stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, with Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi in other prominent roles. Bell Bottom is inspired by real-life hijackings in India by Khalistani separatists during the 1980s, such as the Indian Airlines Flight 423, 405, and 421 hijackings. Principal photography started on 20 August 2020. The film wrapped in London on 30 September. The Bell Bottom film was released in theaters on 19 August 2021 in 3D.

Production and release
The film was officially announced in November 2019 with a release date of Republic Day 2021. Bell Bottom is based on true events and the story is about some of the most unforgettable heroes of the era during the 1980s. It is Vaani Kapoor’s first film not to be produced by Yash Raj Films and became the first Bollywood film to resume shooting in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, during which shooting in India was halted. The theatrical premiere of the film was postponed from January 2020 to 2 April 2021. The cast and crew of the film fly to Glasgow, Scotland in the first week of August 2020. Filming finally began on 20 August 2020. The film was wrapped up. 30 September in London. The film’s release was postponed due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic across India. The film was finally released theatrically in 3D on 19 August 2021.
