The department has instructed Aadhaar card holders older than 10 years to update their cards. Guidelines have been issued for this. According to the latest guidelines, Aadhaar holders can update their card online at home through simple steps by uploading identity and card related documents.
Know how many times you can update your Aadhar card:
By changing the rules of Aadhaar card, the government has now fixed the limit for updates. Let us know how many times we can change various columns of Aadhaar card and what are its rules: –
Name and Sar Name , We can change the name and surname of Aadhaar card twice. After this it is not possible to make changes in it.
Date of Birth – We can change your date of birth written in Aadhaar card only once. Strict rules are applicable for this.
Gender – Change of gender written in Aadhaar card is allowed only once.
Apart from this, there is no rule applicable regarding changing address, photo and mobile number.
What is the Aadhar Card Update Fee:
In the Aadhaar card update, some fees have also been fixed for the update. If the cardholder updates Aadhaar at his own level sitting at home, then he will have to deposit a fee of Rs 25 online. If the card holder goes to any e-Mitra or other Aadhaar service center to update Aadhaar, then a fee of Rs 50 has been fixed for the same.

The process of updating Aadhar Card has also been changed, now you can update Aadhar Card sitting at home, for this you will have to follow the following process.
After ensuring the information related to updating your Aadhar card, open the official website.
After this, when My Aadhaar page opens, login through Aadhaar number and OTP.
Upon login, icons of available services will be displayed, click on Document Update, the last icon in the third row of icons.
Your demographic details will be displayed when you open the document update. Verify your name, gender, date of birth and address.
Your demographic details must match the details displayed in the documents that will be uploaded by you. If there is any difference in the details then get your Aadhaar updated normally to correct the same.
After verifying your details, upload identity and card authentication documents up to 2 MB.
After uploading the documents, go to the payment gateway and pay the prescribed fee of Rs 25.
After payment of prescribed fee, click on the submit button to complete the application process. Your URN will be displayed after the process is over. Note it down for trekking.
