These are the main rights you should know

In today's post, you will know about some of your essential rights. Not everyone is aware of these rights, that is why there is remorse in many places. So let's know.

• Anyone who commits obscene activities in a public place can be punished with imprisonment for three months.

• Head of Police - Constable cannot punish for any offense the fine of which exceeds Rs.100.

• If someone violates the rules of more than one law, then he can be challaned.

• According to the Police Act made in the year 1861, the police officer of every state of India is always on duty. If any crime or incident happens at any place even at midnight, then the policeman has no right to say that he is not on duty, Because according to the Police Act, policemen are always on duty even without uniform.

• If someone does not pay you by taking work from you or borrowing money from you, then you can file a complaint against that person in the court.  According to the Indian Act, if someone is not paying you, then you can file a case against that person by writing an application in the court. This is your legal right. You have three years to file a complaint against the person from whom you have taken money.

• According to the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act of 1956, if you are of Hindu religion and you have one child, then you cannot adopt another child. If you do not have any children and you want to adopt a child, then there must be at least 21 years of age difference between you and the child.

• If the sex relation between husband and wife is not good then both can use this reason as proof of divorce.

• In India, if you have been fined once a day for violating traffic rules, then the police officers cannot fine you again for the whole day.  For example, if you have been challaned for not wearing a helmet once a day, then you can roam without wearing a helmet till night and the traffic officer cannot fine you.

• Women can also lodge a complaint with the police through e-mail. Delhi Police has recently given such facility to women in which women can register their complaint through e-mail sitting at home and they will not even need to come to the police station.

• In India, many people still consider live in relationship as a legal offense. According to Indian law, live-in relationship is not illegal but the man and woman living in live-in relationship have to take care of many things. If a child is born in a live-in relationship, he will have full rights over the property of the parents. 

• With your LPG gas connection, you automatically get insurance up to Rs 40 lakh. That is, if there is an explosion in your gas cylinder, then you can get compensation of up to 40 lakh rupees.
